Jim Yeager was appointed as a Fire Commissioner  in 2005. Prior to his appointment Jim was an active member of the West Plainfield Fire Department joining in 1972 and held the following positions: Firefighter,  Lieutenant, Captain and Assistant Chief Training. Jim retired from the UC Davis Extension Pomology Deptartment after 40 years of service. Jim has also been a Yolo County Sheep Rancher for 60 years and is still a  Sheep Industry representative for Yolo County on State and local Boards. For the past 57 years Jim has been a Yolo County 4-H sheep leader.
